In spring 1998, Intellix applied for a patent for an invention that improves precision and ability to distinguish in the neural network, which is the core technology in Intellix intelligent advice system. The patent covers use of weights in n-tuples, which constitute the cells in Intellix' neural network. This application is now official.

The approval of the patent application means that Intellix has gone through the important first steps of patenting the invention and is therefore expected to get the full patent. The patent covers a wide area and will therefore give Intellix' great advantage in the competition with other companies.
At the provisional examination to the world patent, Intellix has received approval for novelty, inventive steps and industrial applicability of the invention. Intellix is now working on national patent applications, besides Europe and US, the patent is applied for in China, Japan, India, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Intellix, the Danish National Research Laboratory RISØ and the Technical University of Denmark are successfully working together on more inventions in the area of artificial intelligence and automatic knowledge acquisition. Intellix has one more patent pending as a result of this cooperation.
