Intellix launches Knowledge Server 2.1

The Intellix Knowledge Server 2.1 implements a feature rich and XML based component layer for building enterprise solutions, the Intellix Solution Framework, and thereby provides a deployment platform that matches the newly released development platform, the Intellix Designer 4.1.

The performance of the Intellix Knowledge Server has been increased tenfold, partly by the implementation of an open XML framework. Thus, the prospects for adding value to your business processes by using Intellix' products to automate and support intellectual decision processes have been increased significantly with the release of the Intellix Knowledge Server 2.1.

The Intellix Knowledge Server 2.1 has been enhanced to match the versatility and flexibility of our award winning development tool, the Intellix Designer, with an open XML framework and the necessary features for deploying knowledge management solutions based on the Intellix Solution Framework (ISF). Having finalised the integration of the new feature sets in the Intellix core products, the Intellix Knowledge Server 2.1 and the Intellix Designer 4.1 now present themselves as a fully fledged pair of development and deployment platforms widening the scope for building and deploying advanced knowledge management solutions.
The Intellix Solution Framework (ISF) incorporated in the Intellix Knowledge Server 2.1 is a generic framework for building enterprise solutions, for which the foundation was laid recently with the new features built into the Intellix Designer 4.1 and the accompanying ISF Add-in 1.0. This combination of products allows for even shorter time from business idea to deployed solution.

The key features of the ISF are highly improved flexibility, improved scalability, fail over, productions monitoring and standardised ways of implementing integration with 3rd party systems, data validation, data conversion etc. Furthermore, the features provided by the Intellix Solution Framework allow for separation of skills among members of development teams thereby reducing the dependence on developer competencies and enable customers to maintain and elaborate on their knowledge models. It also reduces the effort needed to build and deploy a full-fledged decision automation system. The ISF is implemented as a feature rich XML based component layer, which is easily customised.

The Intellix Knowledge Server 2.1 supports the ISF Web Testbench that comes with the Intellix Designer ISF Add-in 1.0. This feature allows a user of The Intellix Designer to test ISF compliant knowledge models directly on the Knowledge Server.

Performance has been vastly improved, i.e. by more than a factor of 10, from Knowledge Server 2.0X to Intellix Knowledge Server 2.1. This has been brought about through various innovations and by the XML driven interfaces. In addition to improving performance, the introduction of the XML interfaces simplifies the process of building solutions for the Knowledge Server.

The Intellix Knowledge Server 2.1 provides enterprises with a tool for deployment of computerised decision support using advanced knowledge models built with the Intellix Designer 4.1 which are based on Intellix patented neural network technology, thereby enabling enterprises to capture and share knowledge company wide. Thus, Intellix Knowledge Server serves organisations in supporting and automating business processes by deploying knowledge about best practices held by business experts. Intellix Knowledge Server is based on an open component based framework that is easily customised to support indivi-dual business needs such as logging or external database connectivity.

The release of Intellix Knowledge Server 2.1 is accompanied by the release of new versions of the administrator products, the Local Administrator 2.1 and Remote Administrator 2.1 as well as a new developer pack, the Intellix Knowledge Server Developer Pack 1.1.
