Intellix announces new board member

The Danish software vendor Intellix A/S announced today that Sigurður Stefán Hjálmarsson has joined Intellix's Board of Directors, succeeding Henrik Levring, who recently decided to leave the board.

Mr. Hjálmarsson holds a B.S. in Computer Science from California State University and has worked within the IT industry since 1982. From 1991 to 1996 Mr. Hjálmarsson was the managing director for the Icelandic start-up company Taugagreining hf, which developed PC based medical devices for measuring brain electrical activity (EEG). From 1996 to 1999 Mr. Hjálmarsson worked as a project manager for the Swedish company Medtronic Functional Diagnostics AB (MFD) (now Medtronic Functional Diagnostics A/S), which focuses on production of diagnostic equipment for the neurophysiology, urology and gastroenterology markets. MFD is a subsidiary of Medtronic Inc., a 5 billion USD implantable medical device company based in Minneapolis, USA.

From 1999 to 2000 Mr. Hjálmarsson was Chief Technology Officer for the online recruitment firm Jobline International AB, which, was bought by the American company Monster in June 2001.

Currently Mr. Hjálmarsson works as a Product Planner for Microsoft Mobile Internet AB, where he is responsible for driving a business strategy for the Mobile Internet Business Unit (MIBU).
