Press Release at Hugin The Scandinavian software vendor Intellix A/S today announced the
availability of Java integration based on the J2EE platform. Compliance
testing of Intellix Knowledge Solutions in the BEA WebLogic and the Apache
Tomcat environments show remarkable results. "It is our experience that IT departments in the financial services industry and elsewhere in these years are migrating many of their mission-critical applications to the J2EE platform, which has matured considerably" says Allan Hansen, Head of the R&D Department, at Intellix A/S. "We have now demonstrated that we are able to deploy our Knowledge Solutions in Java environments without loss of performance or scalability. Our tests based on the deployments using BEA WebLogic and Apache Tomcat indicate that deployment on these two Java-based platforms might even increase performance. With these new acheivements we have secured our customers an improved level of indepedence in their choice of IT platform for their web services." Intellix provides intuitive software products for building knowledge solutions that allows best practices to be captured and distributed throughout entire organisations. The Intellix Knowledge Server, which is used to deploy knowledge solutions, is based on an open component based framework that is easily customised to support individual business needs such as logging or external database connectivity. The extensive use of XML based communication protocols in the Intellix Knowledge Server is another measure taken to deliver improved levels of platform independence. A whitepaper
containing the details on the architectures and test results for the
J2EE based deployments is available on the Intellix website.
