The new generation of the Intellix products

The new generation of the Intellix products has now been released, resulting in an even more powerful product portfolio. The product range is widely expanded and Intellix now offers even more extensive support in all aspects of building, deploying and maintaining knowledge models.

Modelling, automation and maintenance of your core business processes has become much easier, and deployed intelligent solutions have become much faster and even more reliable.

The focus in this release has been on extensibility. The Intellix Designer 4.0 comes with an extended object model interface based on Microsoft® COM technology. This allows third parties to develop add-ins (extensions) for the Intellix Designer 4.0 application or its knowledge domains. In fact many of the new features of the Intellix Designer 4.0 such as Find and Replace, the Domain Report that now generates a customisable XML-based report, and the fully customisable Web Testbench are all add-ins to the Intellix Designer 4.0 application.

Perhaps the most important implication of the object model is that it allows specialised Custom Documents to be created. These documents can implement advanced or specialised business logic into documents, and therefore are valuable alternatives to intrinsic SOUL Documents. Any type of decision logic can now be implemented and maintained through Intellix Designer 4.0.

The richness of Intellix Designer 4.0 is hard to overlook. It introduces a variety of new features and concepts, which will lighten your work and your ability to create intelligent solutions based on models of your core business processes. Enhanced factor types such as Interval defined numeric values and the concept of Globals are two other new features.

On the server side, the Intellix Knowledge Server 2.0 has become much faster, scalable and even more reliable. The XML based Intellix Solution Framework now takes full advantage of the new and improved runtime features of Intellix Knowledge server 2.0. The Intellix Solution Framework is fully optimised with respect to performance, making it the perfect choice for implementing Intellix Solutions in medium to large enterprises. The administration of Intellix Knowledge Server has become even easier using the Intellix Local or Remote Administrator, which among other new features supports a variety of useful statistics.

Both the Intellix Designer and the Intellix Knowledge Server include developer packs that among other things provide technical documentation and code examples. These make it easier for customers or partners to use the object model of Designer 4.0, and to build advanced intelligent solutions based on the Knowledge Server 2.0 technology.

Seminar - "The Value of Being UNIQUE and Using Knowledge on the Internet"
New technologies and the Internet have made the marketplace significantly easier to navigate and more transparent, regardless of which marketplace we examine. In particular, the insurance, banking, and financial industries have been tremendously affected over the past 10-12 years.

Initially, major changes were seen among insurance brokers who immediately saw a need to provide greater understanding and insight of the various insurance products offered to companies. These insurance brokers were typically educated in the industry and had significant experience from earlier careers. Comparatively, their counselling services were highly qualified and primarily impartial.

Over the past few years we've seen a number of companies/portals on the Internet who provide services where consumers and companies are guided through the maze of countless financial and insurance products. Some examples: www.bestadvice.dk, www.userevaluation.com, www.forsikringsraad.dk, www.3-bud.dk, www.forsikringstilbud.dk, www.bankportalen.dk, www.mybanker.dk and many others. These types of portals have some things in common:

  • It is difficult for companies to differentiate themselves
  • There is little focus on the increasingly valuable counselling and advisory services provided in connection with "the product"
  • Frequently it is a comparison of "apples" and "oranges"

Often interested buyers, after reading an article, visiting an industry portal or with other reasons for examining the market, will visit a bank's or insurance company's website - and this is the vital chance to be UNIQUE. The opportunity to give the customer the best experience, which is both individual and customised as well as intelligent and motivating - should be exploited. Typically, a competitive advantage can be gained by differentiating on the following services:

  • Case treatment (intelligent and fast treatment of e.g. credit applications or damage claims)
  • Counselling (individualized counselling utilising knowledge from your top business experts)
  • Sales (intelligent sales - matching the right products and services with the right customers).

By "transferring" decision-making competence and expertise from your top experts in the back-office all the way to the front-line - your customers' 17" screens - you can obtain significant benefits in these areas.

Intellix can show you how to improve your ability to provide intelligent case treatment, counselling and sales by:

  • Removing the 2nd most significant barrier to e-Commerce* - unintelligent, impersonal and unmotivating dialog with customers
  • Transferring knowledge to your partners so that they can provide qualified counselling and flawlessly sell your products and services
  • Transferring knowledge to your customers so that they can purchase the right products and services matching their particular situation, thus reducing costs, improving customer satisfaction, and creating new sales opportunities.

The main themes for our series of seminars throughout 2001are: the capture and storage of knowledge, making it possible for business experts to update and maintain powerful knowledge-based solutions, and, addressing how a company can "transfer" competence and expertise.

By participating in our seminars you will learn about:

  • Sharing and distributing critical business knowledge throughout the organization and/or distribution channels
  • How to react to regulatory and market changes by allowing business experts to implement changes in business policy instantly and easily for the benefit of the entire organization
  • Improvements to online service, sales, and cross-selling via an intelligent web dialog with customers and partners
  • Automating credit applications and claims processing, risk analysis, authorisations, disbursements, and denials
  • How to turn minimally trained call center and help desk representatives into experts in your products, services and best practice policies.

With a special focus on Intellix's solutions for DIAL (Swedish insurance company), Jyske Bank, Unibank, IF and Realkredit Danmark, we will address these and other issues during our seminars.

New Intellix Website

As you may have seen, Intellix has recently launched a new website at www.intellix.com. The site has gone through a total spring makeover, in both content, layout and structure.

Intellix is proud to introduce our customers, partners and other visitors to the new website, offering increased usability and more features. The new website has scored high in independent surveys on the Internet praising the typical 'Scandinavian design' and the unusual but highly user-friendly menu system.

Please take a closer look at our different solution types, and not least at the product section, containing info and features on our new Designer 4.0 and Knowledge Server 2.0.

The website's progress does not stop here, however. Future plans for the website include differentiated pages for customers (support), media (press kit) and investors (relations info).

We hope that you enjoy the new Intellix website and that it provides you with more information about our innovative products and solutions. Please feel free to send us your comments about it, either by submitting feedback at the website or by e-mailing webmaster@intellix.com.
