The ISF add-in enables you to implement features of Intellix Enterprise solutions such as business integration, advanced presentation layout, and control of dialog flow in a standardised and simple fashion. Business experts can prepare and setup various aspects of knowledge solutions, for instance the use of and connection to 3rd party systems and for further elaboration by e.g. web designers. By combining the Intellix Designer 4.1 with the ISF Add-in you gain the prospects of having much shorter time from business idea to roll-out of knowledge solutions. The enclosed ISF Web testbench allows you to test the business integration features of your knowledge solution directly on the Intellix Knowledge Server.

Features
The ISF add-in for the Intellix Designer provides a markedly extended set of features for integration and customisability of knowledge solutions, and requires only a modest level of programming skills. The ISF Add-in makes it easy to connect to external services by configuring a broad range of event handling interfaces, and the same goes for the interface components used to taylor presentation layouts and execution flow for knowledge models.

Another feature of the ISF Add-in is the ISF Web Testbench which is supported by the Intellix Knowledge Server 2.1 or later. This feature allows a user of The Intellix Designer to test ISF compliant knowledge models directly on the Knowledge Server. Business integration components can therefore be tested in a realistic deployment environment, as well as designs of presentation layouts etc.

Intellix Solution Framework (ISF)
The Intellix Solution Framework (ISF) incorporated in the Intellix Knowledge Server is a generic framework for building enterprise solutions. The key features of the ISF are highly improved flexibility, improved scalability, fail over, productions monitoring and standardised ways of implementing integration with 3rd party systems, data validation, data conversion and much more. The features provided by ISF allow for separation of skills among members of development teams. This reduces the dependence on developer competencies and enable customers to maintain and elaborate on their knowledge models. It also reduces the effort needed to build and deploy a fully fledged decision automation system. The ISF is implemented as a feature rich XML based component layer which is easily customised.

Requirements
The use of the ISF Add-in requires that Intellix Designer 4.1 or later is installed.
Knowledge Solutions built using the ISF add-in requires Intellix Knowledge Server 2.1 or later for deployment.
