Intellix Designer is built with an open component based architecture.
This architecture includes an add-in interface by which programmers can
enhance the Intellix Designer environment to meet specific needs. The
API of the Intellix Designer allow customised components to take full
advantage of the inherent object model. Many features shipped with the
Intellix Designer are actually implemented as add-in components like e.g.
the Web testbench; see Designer 4.0 features for a full listing.
Intellix is embedding a range of features in the Intellix Designer by
developing add-ins to be released as supplementary products. So far, we
have made the following add-ins commercially available:
Language Add-in for Excel 1.0
This add-in enables you to localise your knowledge solutions. By use of
this fully-fledged localisation feature you can now lower the costs considerably
of extending your knowledge solutions for deployment targeted at new market
segmentations, as this is now in principle a matter of develop once deploy
everywhere. The localisation feature has a user-centered design that allows
translators and text writers to conduct the localisations independently.

ISF Add-in 1.0
The ISF add-in enables you to implement features of Intellix Enterprise
solutions such as business integration, advanced presentation layout,
and control of dialog flow in a standardised and simple fashion. Business
experts can prepare and setup various aspects of knowledge solutions,
for instance the use of and connection to 3rd party systems and for further
elaboration by e.g. web designers. By combining the Intellix Designer
4.1 with the ISF Add-in you gain the prospects of having much shorter
time from business idea to roll-out of knowledge solutions. The enclosed
ISF Web testbench allows you to test the business integration features
of your knowledge solution directly on the Intellix Knowledge Server.
